As the University of California, Los Angeles’s first pre-law co-ed fraternity and one of the most diverse Greek organizations, Kappa Alpha Pi strives to bring together students of any major with a common interest in law. With such a wide range of perspectives, our past and current brothers guide and shape us to become future professionals.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of this fraternity shall be to foster knowledge of the law for undergraduate students; to provide service to the greater community and campus; to promote a strong sense of fraternalism among members; to uphold the ideals and integrity of Kappa Alpha Pi Co-Ed Pre-Law Fraternity; so that each member may advance his or her intellect while contributing actively to the well-being of others.
Our CHAPTER
In the winter of 2002, a group of pre-law students came together, dissatisfied with the existing pre-law organizations at the University of California, Los Angeles. There were pre-business, pre-med, social, ethnic interest and even community service fraternities, but UCLA lacked a pre-law equivalent. After gathering enough signatures to receive a charter from internationals, the individuals who made the charter possible became the Alpha and founding class of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity at UCLA. Both our alumni and our organization have achieved much over the years, and we are connected to all the traditions that have been instituted. To uphold the ideals and ambitions of the fraternity members, the brothers rechartered in the Fall Quarter of 2009 to constitute what is now known as the Beta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi.
